As a true lover of hotels with pools for kids, you can imagine my awe when I laid eyes upon the monorail-themed pool at the Disneyland Hotel. Younger kids can glide down a two-lane mini-slide and play in bubble jets.

The only problem? Getting the kids out of the water and over to the theme parks! Read about the Disneyland Hotel pools and more in my Disneyland Hotel review. Then discover more dreamy hotels with pools near Disneyland.

  16. Just came back from a stay at the JW MARRIOT in San Antonio… amazing !!! Was looking for another similar hotel with pools like JWs and came across this article … was curious to see if JW made the list and sure enough they did. I went with a 7yo, 4yo and 2.5yo twins… it was just
Perfect for all Of them ! And bc of the zero entry I didn’t have to worry. They also have another zero entry pool that also has a deep enough section for my 7yo that has a sand beach leading into it. It was amazing ! I too could relax !

    1. Keryn – Wholeheartedly agree that the pools at JW Marriott in San Antonio are simply amazing! So glad you loved their pools as much as we did! I hope you found some other great pool options for future vacations on this list, too!

    1. Definitely – you don’t want to get burnt while lounging by your hotel spa pool!

  17. Woww.. these pictures are so alluring! My son is gonna like it. I would like to plan a trip with my family, for next vacations as for this Christmas we have planned for Montana vacations and would be staying Hotels in Billings MT which has an indoor waterpark attached to it. It will be a great fun time for us!

  18. Hi Colleen!

Wow, I have to admit that we haven’t been to any of these. 🙁 Time to get busy! We did take a close look at the Pink Shell in Ft. Myers this summer, but ended back up at one of our favorites – the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs. They have just opened a new slide complex and lazy river that looks really great. We can’t wait to return soon.

Pools are definitely a deciding factor on where we stay. Isn’t it funny that no matter how exhausted the kids (and adults) get, a good pool perks them right up!?!

    Great post Colleen!

    1. Thank you, Carrick! I would love to check out the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point someday. It sounds like my family’s kind of place!

  19. We just returned from a family vacation to San Antonio – we stayed at the JW Marriott San Antonio and it rocked! We have a 3 year old and a 5 year old and it was great for everyone! Highly suggest this resort!

    1. Carrie – I couldn’t agree more! My family LOVED the JW Marriott San Antonio. Thank you for your comment!

  20. We love the monorail pool at the Disneyland Hotel. The kids care pretty much exclusively about the pool anywhere we go. Glad to have a bucket list!

    1. My kids are cuckoo for pools too. I hope your family can tick some of these off of your hotel pool bucket list!

    1. Ooh! What a great idea indeed! Maybe next summer I should plan a whole family road trip focused on finding fabulous hotel pools…!

  21. My kids are all about choosing our hotels based on the pool so this list is right up our alley! Clearly we have a lot of hotel pools to hit up!

  22. Not sure I can choose… but that The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center pool would be the first on my list. Of course the others would soon follow…. they all look amazing.

  23. Wow these photos are breathtaking. I would love to visit the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa pool and the Woodlands Resort & Conference Center pool. Sound like I need to visit Texas soon.

    1. Chavonne – Do it! You’ll love JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort! My family sure did!

  24. My three water babies would go crazy over all of these pools, as would I. I think they would enjoy being near the beach best, especially since we are already big fans of Huntington (and Southern California in general).

  25. I’m in Canada and think it would be so awesome to visit all these pools around the US and explore. These all sound pretty fabulous!

  26. All of these pools look so cool to play in! I especially love the one at Pink Shell Resort and Marina.

  27. These all look like wonderful pools. I would love to check out the pool at the Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort.

  28. Best pool by far is Aulani in Ko’Olina Hawaii. It’s a Disney resort, it’s beautiful, it’s safe and so much fun for the kids!

  29. We live in Arizona so the Rancho Las Palmas looks like an ideal destination. I’ve never visited Palm Springs so I need to do some serious thinking about a get-away.

  30. Wow. Those are some pretty sweet-looking pools! We actually stayed at the Disneyland Hotel several years ago and didn’t even take a peek at the pool (we were so captivated by the park!). Maybe next time? 🙂

  31. Our family is a big fan of Las Vegas Pools (We join my husband on business at least once a summer. We love the Golden Nugget with its fish tank water slide, the Flamingo with a few simple water slides that keep the little guys busy for hours. Mandalay Bay gets top honors for both a wave pool and a lazy river. We tried the MGM Grand lazy river about two years ago and it was far from lazy! It went much too fast for the little ones!
