1. Watermelon Mint Lemonade
This thirst-quencher is made from lemonade and watermelon syrup. Fresh sprigs of mint add a refreshing and pretty touch. Both my husband and I vote the Watermelon Mint Lemonade as the best of all Royal Caribbean’s non-alcoholic cocktails. Since it’s not overpowering, this mocktail pairs well with food.
2. Blueberry Nojito
Whereas other non-alcoholic mojitos taste bland, Royal Caribbean’s Blueberry Nojito has a definite kick. Formulated to taste like Sour Patch Kids candy in a glass, it has a lot of flavor. This mocktail is made from blueberry purée, lime juice, simple syrup, and fresh mint. A Blueberry Nojito would make a good dessert drink.
3. Shirley Ginger
This zippy beverage is fruity with a kick of ginger. If you’re a fan of Moscow Mules, then you’ll love a Shirley Ginger, made with orange juice, grenadine, lime juice, and ginger ale. I suggest ordering this mocktail as an apéritif before dinner at one of Royal Caribbean’s many cruise ship bars.
4. Strawberry Limeade
This light and zingy drink is a fun twist on a classic Strawberry Lemonade. Lime elevates this mocktail, giving it a more sophisticated feel. It’s made with strawberry, lime juice, and club soda. Order a Strawberry Limeade poolside as a fancy way to rehydrate.
5. Tropical Crush
Of the official Royal Caribbean Zero-Proof Cocktails, the Tropical Crush boasts the strongest flavors of the bunch. This tangy, sweet drink with tropical flair is formulated from pineapple juice, mango, and Red Bull Yellow Edition. Order this caffeinated mocktail with breakfast or whenever you need a pick-me-up.
6. Virgin Daiquiri
Royal Caribbean makes all sorts of daiquiris with or without alcohol for your sipping pleasure. Choose from raspberry, peach, strawberry, lime, and wild berry. Sometimes these will be topped with fresh fruits. Just don’t go bananas when your bartender tells you there are no Royal Caribbean banana daiquiris to be had.
7. Virgin Piña Colada
Nothing says vacation quite as well as this pineapple and coconut concoction. If you want to get extra fancy, then ask for a Virgin Miami Vice for a half Piña Colada, half Strawberry Daiquiri delight.
8. Shirley Temple
The favorite fancy drink of children and teetotalers since the 1930s, you can’t go wrong with a Shirley Temple. Sprite plus grenadine and a maraschino cherry combine in this classic mocktail. If you really want to splurge, then ask for extra cherries!
9. Virgin Mary
It’s the breakfast drink of champions who don’t want to fall asleep before noon: the Virgin Mary. This Bloody Mary sans booze is made with tomato juice and Royal Caribbean’s signature blend of spices.
10. Roy Rogers
This classic drink is simply cola mixed with grenadine and topped with a maraschino cherry. But it sounds way more fun when you order a Roy Rogers, doesn’t it?!
11. Heineken O.O.
Okay, it’s not really a mocktail but beer lovers who want to sip a brew without getting buzzed will appreciate alcohol-free Heineken O.O. onboard Royal Caribbean’s ships. (Cruisers must be of legal drinking age to order or drink Heineken O.O.)
12. Other Royal Caribbean Non-Alcoholic Drinks
Of course, you could stick to standard non-alcoholic drinks while sailing with Royal Caribbean, too. Fountain sodas, energy drinks, teas, juices, drip coffee, and premium coffees are available.
