Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa in Cabo San Lucas (Review)
Family-friendly resorts abound in Cabo San Lucas in Baja California, Mexico. Marina Fiesta Resort, though, boasts the best location by far. It’s located smack in the middle of the popular Golden Zone at the Marina, and ten minutes by foot from Medano Beach. But that’s not all. Read my Marina Fiesta Resort and Spa review to decide if this is the place for your next Cabo San Lucas getaway!

Marina Fiesta Resort location
Marina Fiesta Resort is well situated in the heart of the Golden Zone and Marina area. A wide promenade boardwalk stretches out along the resort’s edge. The Golden Zone his home to a dozen or so popular restaurants as well as luxury shops.
The Marina is the best place to catch a boat for deep-sea marlin and dorado fishing in the Pacific Ocean, a popular activity in Los Cabos. Ask the Marina Fiesta Resort concierge to book a sport-fishing adventure for you.
Stroll along the boardwalk to the popular Medano Beach. This is the busiest beach in Cabo San Lucas, particularly when the cruise ships dock in port. During nesting season, giant sea turtles lay their eggs in the beach sand in the early morning hours. The nesting areas are roped off and protected by volunteers.
The resort is approximately a 30-minute drive from the San Juan del Cabo Airport. Cabo is well-serviced from Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Diego and Vancouver. If you don’t plan to rent a car, you can arrange for a Transcabo shuttle to Marina Fiesta when you make your reservation.
Marina Fiesta Resort suites
Over 80 percent of Marina Fiesta Resort’s 150 suites enjoy a marina view. All suites come equipped with spacious outdoor balconies, too. Families can choose from a number of different room options, including the Nautical Two Bedroom Suite. It features two connected bedrooms, a kitchenette, seating and dining area, plus two bathrooms.
Marina Fiesta Resort service
You need not worry about waiting long for service at Marina Fiesta Resort. Friendly and attentive staff are always available to help with whatever you may need. Plus, all employees speak both Spanish and English.
Marina Fiesta Resort pools
The primary pool area sits in the center courtyard of Marina Fiesta Resort’s main building. Most of the resort suites face the main pool and marina. The dust-colored hills look glorious in the distance.
If your children are young and nap during the day, consider booking a suite in the Phase 2 section of the property. Not only is this side quieter, but also it features a lovely and less busy pool area that gets morning sun.
Both pools feature swim-up bars and lots of beach loungers for sun-bathing. They are open from 8 am to 8 pm. These times work well for families needing to tuck kids into bed early. The timing ensures a quiet atmosphere for guests in the evenings. (However, you may hear partying during popular holiday weekends and spring break at nearby nightclubs like Cabo Wabo in the Golden Zone. Don’t forget to pack ear plugs, just in case!)
Marina Fiesta Resort with kids
Marina Fiesta Resort makes a fabulous choice for families with children. Kids will love monkeying around on Marina Fiesta Resort’s on-site playground. Want a date night during your vacation? Book babysitting services at the resort for an hourly fee. Keep in mind, kids 14 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times when exploring the resort grounds.
You can request a crib upon booking if you’re traveling with young children, for an additional daily fee. Or you can rent a crib and other baby gear from a third-party provider.
Marina Fiesta Resort spa and gym
You may want to book that babysitter for a couples spa afternoon. The resort can accommodate your needs for a single or couple’s massage, mani-pedi, or facial. Relax before or after your treatment in the spa’s sauna or large hot tub.
The resort’s air-conditioned gym provides an incredible view of the marina and bay. It’s open 24 hours a day. With all of the delicious food offered at Marina Fiesta Resort, the gym just may come in handy!
Dine Out All Inclusive Plan
Marina Fiesta Resort offers an excellent Dine Out All Inclusive Plan. This program takes the stress out of asking, “Where should we eat tonight?” A wide variety of restaurants and cuisines will tempt all family members. You can book the Dine Out All Inclusive Plan when you make your resort reservation.

is there a beach at the resort to swim in safety?
Hi Judy – Medano Beach is a safe place to swim and is just a 5-10 minute walk from the resort. You could also take a water taxi or regular taxi to this beach.
I read some where that the Marina Fiesta has a rooftop bar but I was unaware of it when I was there in 2016. Is this a nice new addition ?
Hi Mark, It may well be new, I don’t recall visiting the Sky Bar when I was there.
This is really gorgeous. What a lovely getaway. I can’t wait to visit Cabo.
I’m sure you’d enjoy it.
Great, that resort is looking so good and its things are so enjoyable. so stunning photos you shared of that resort.
Thank you!
This looks like a really awesome resort!! I would love to take the family one day!
I’m sure you’d all enjoy it!
I love the view from that beach! I could imagine an early morning walk there! As a mom with grown kids that sometimes (rarely, but it happens) travel with my husband and I, resorts that offer family suites- especially one with two rooms, TWO bathrooms (!) & a kitchen are a huge plus.
Having the extra space for the older kids is a big plus for sure!
