Why winter road trips

A little rain, sleet and snow doesn’t stop the mailman from hitting the road, and it shouldn’t stop you either. (Be sure to heed travel advisories, of course!) Winter makes a fabulous time to travel. Ski lovers will of course want to hit the slopes, especially when the snow is plentiful. But deals abound in chilly destinations that might be overlooked during winter months, like Chicago, Minneapolis (The Mall of America is heated and full of post-holiday deals!), and New York City.

This is an important and great topic! Safety winter driving is a must!

  12. I’ve spun out on black ice twice, once taking me across a busy highway and back, twice (I hit the brakes…had no clue that was the worst thing to do). yee-ikes. Luckily we landed against a huge snow bank, or we’d have flipped over. We landed on our side, leaning against it and it was an easy pull for the tow truck to get it upright.
