Travel Mamas started with an idea for a book on how to travel with babies and children…and stay sane! The Travel Mamas’ Guide is 22 chapters of travel tips and humorous travel tales for anyone who wants to enjoy exploring the world with a little one in tow. With help from childcare experts, family travel bloggers and other Travel Mamas and Travel Daddies, I cover why to travel with kids, what to bring, how to get there, where to stay, how to make sure every member of the family has fun while away, and much more!

Martha Stewart once said, “Good things are worth waiting for.” No, wait. Martha just says, “It’s a good thing” about yummy food and complicated crafts and whatnot. Someone important once said this, I’m sure.

Remember when I said my book, The Travel Mamas’ Guide, would be available for purchase in November 2012? Well, it’s going to take a bit longer, my fellow Travel Mamas and Travel Daddies. I’m working on finalizing the front cover and back cover and layout and everything in between. I want to make sure it’s good enough that Martha herself would deem it a “good thing.” Hey—I started writing this sucker over seven years ago, what’s a few more months?

So, The Travel Mamas’ Guide will now be available for purchase in May 2013, just in time for summer vacations.

Definitely! You should have a bounce house AND a balloon guy to make crazy animal balloon giveaways. Now that would be swag to remember!

Sandra – At first I was just joking about having a bounce house at the book launch party, but the more I think about it, the more I’m liking the idea!
