For an easy peasy family vacation, a cruise is one of my favorite choices. With ports in numerous major cities, cruising with kids has never been more convenient or alluring. Whether you’re sailing on a weekend getaway or longer adventure, you want to pack the right clothing for each member of the family. Take a look at our […]

Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas with Kids

From the minute we boarded Royal Caribbean Anthem of the Seas, we knew we were in for an extraordinary time. After our sailing I asked my shipmate 7-year-old son, Leo, what was his favorite part of our cruise. His answer? “Meeting Joey.” Yep, a humongous ship stocked with bumper cars, a climbing wall, swimming pools, […]

Sheraton Maui – A Wonderful Place for Families to Laze in Paradise

The best thing about the Sheraton Maui is its meandering, waterfall-bedecked lazy river. But the laziest of rivers is just one reason to book a stay at this hotel. The 508-room resort has an open, expansive feel with plenty of grassy spaces dotted with tall palm trees. It’s located on 23 oceanfront acres in Kaanapali, which […]

Hawaii Island’s Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel with Kids

Hawaii Island is a haven for families keen kick back and relax. Sure, the Big Island also offers awesome eco-adventures. Our family, however, was decidedly in the kick back camp, which is why were thrilled to jet off to the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. Location, Location, Location! Situated on 32 oceanfront acres overlooking the silky white […]

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach – A Los Cabos Resort for Family Time or Romance

Driving into Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort & Spa feels like arriving at a movie set, except that in this case, the sparkling backdrop of the Pacific Ocean is real. I recently came to this paradise for a quick weekend jaunt at this resort in Los Cabos, Mexico and found a large, luscious all-inclusive resort […]

Sheraton Waikiki – A Bustling Hotel in the Heart of Waikiki

Waikiki Beach in Honolulu feels like the epicenter of the Hawaiian hotel universe. There are so many hotels and resorts stretching along the length of Waikiki Beach, the choice of where to stay in Honolulu can be a dizzying one. If you’re looking for a central, reasonably priced resort on Oahu with lots of amenities […]

Where to Stay with Kids in Palm Springs – The Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa

You might be surprised by the number of activities for kids in Palm Springs. I know I was. There’s the Living Desert zoo and botanical garden with its maze of miniature trains, Knott’s Soak City Water Park with its abundance of waterslides and a gigantic wave pool, and the Aerial Tramway’s spinning ascent to Mount San Jacinto State Park. But I […]

Loews Coronado Bay Resort Loves Kids

Confession: when I was invited on a recent trip to Loews Coronado Bay Resort, I had never heard of Loews and figured the hotel must cater to business-folk. Then I saw their “Loews Loves Kids” program. Then I saw their expansive deck area with three pools (one of them just for kids), ping pong, humungous Connect Four […]

Relax in Luxury at Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto

Mexico has no shortage of amazing hotel properties and resorts. Many locations—Cabo, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta—are established, built-up resort communities with a fast pace of activities and crowds. Which is fine, if that’s what you’re looking for. If you’re searching for a more relaxed setting and the opportunity to connect with nature in a genuine (but still […]

Sedona’s Enchantment Resort Review – Worth a Splurge?

Located on one of the most spectacular spots of real estate in the world, everything at Enchantment Resort in Sedona, Arizona seems to have been created to allow the scenic landscape take center stage. So, is it worth a splurge?

JW Marriott San Antonio – Where Luxury Combines with Good Ol’ Family Fun

Earlier this month my family spent a few days at this resort enjoying all it had to offer, like spa treatments for the Travel Mama, golf for the Travel Daddy, the Range Rider Kids Camp for the Travel Girl, and a zero-entry splash pool for the Travel Baby. The world is big with many new places to explore so I seldom like to return somewhere I have already been. However, I am already dreaming of a return trip to San Antonio, and to this JW Marriott in particular.
