I love Hilton Garden Inn for many reasons…an always friendly staff…the boutique hotel feel with amenities of a large hotel chain…and more than 500 locations to choose from worldwide. Now, I have one more reason to love this affordable mid-range hotel brand. Hilton Garden Inn has teamed up with Feeding America to provide one million meals to families who need it most with their Breakfast With Heart program.

Hilton Garden Inn Breakfast with Heart

As a former volunteer at a school for homeless children (Monarch School in San Diego), I know summers can be especially difficult for kids living below the poverty level. During the school year, impoverished children often rely on receiving at least one meal per day through their schools’ lunch programs. During summer months, they can’t even count on that. This week Hilton Garden Inn launched the timely Breakfast With Heart, a four-month campaign to help fight hunger in America.

Guests who book the hotel’s Breakfast With Heart room rate will receive a complimentary breakfast AND Hilton Garden Inn will make a donation to Feeding America to provide meals to families in need.

Breakfast With Heart is the first program of You Can Count on Us, Hilton Garden Inn’s new program to nourish and nurture communities on their road to success. Hilton Garden Inn Vice President of Global Brand Marketing Judy Christa-Cathey, says, “By extending the spirit of hospitality to those who need it most, we believe we can create positive change for our hotels and our communities. We are excited to launch this first initiative in the United States with Feeding America, the nation’s leading hunger-relief organization.”

Go travel. Do good. Book a Breakfast With Heart stay at a Hilton Garden Inn. You must book by the end of September 2012 and stay between June 1 through September 30 this year.

No act of kindness is too small to make an impact on the world! What do you do to give back to your community? Please share in the comments!
