Disneyland is celebrating 60 years of bringing magic and fun to the lives of millions of theme park goers with its Diamond Celebration. This means special decorations, unique entertainment, sparkling souvenirs, and themed food and beverages at Disneyland this year to commemorate the park's diamond anniversary. Can't get there to join in the fun? Not to worry – I've brought some Disneyland Diamond Anniversary goodies home with me to give to one lucky Travel Mamas reader.

Disneyland Diamond Decor

Draped in dazzling blue and clear “diamonds,” Sleeping Beauty's castle at Disneyland is even more impressive than usual with its celebratory Diamond Anniversary decorations. You'll find other special touches throughout Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Keep your eyes open for Enchanted window displays along Main Street USA.

Diamond Anniversary Sweets

What's a party without a sweet treat or two? At both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks you will find special Diamond Anniversary desserts and candies to tempt your taste buds. Sprinkled with glittery blue sugar, choose from such yummies as chocolate-covered apples, Diamond Celebration Cupcakes (lemon-flavored in Disneyland and orange-flavored at Disney California Adventure), crisped rice treats, hand-dipped marshmallow sticks, and more.

60th Anniversary Grown-Up Goodies

Disneyland also offers some grown-up goodies to tempt adult palates. At the Disneyland Resort's fanciest theme park restaurant, Carthay Circle in Disney California Adventure, guests can order a Carthay Diamond Manhattan. Pictured below, the drink features Bulleit Rye Small Batch American Whiskey, Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth, Angostura Bitters, and Luxardo Gourmet Maraschino Cherries (my husband's favorite!) served with a diamond shaped ice cube. For dessert, do as I did and order the Diamond Celebration Truffles, delectable chocolates laced with liqueurs.

Celebratory Disneyland Parades

Everyone loves a parade, especially a Disney parade! During the day, you can join a daily Diamond March-Along up Main Street USA with the Disneyland Band and Disney characters in their dazzling Diamond Celebration costumes. At Disney California Adventure Park, your inner “Joy” will be tickled to watch a new Pre-Pixar Play Parade featuring all of the Inside Out characters.

Do you miss the Disney Main Street Electrical Parade? A new and improved glowing nighttime parade has taken its place, called “Paint the Night.” With over one million colorful lights, it's the biggest and brightest parade in Disneyland's history.
